1. Water supply is provided by the Madurai City Corporation with overhead tanks and power pumps. 2. The generator runs a pump that draws underground water for storage in an overhead tank . 3. The pipeline was supported by dummy pump-houses, overhead tanks and filling stations, complete with straw men. 4. Water supply is provided by the Thuvakudi Municipality from the Kollidam river through two overhead tanks . 5. Water supply is provided by the Thoothukudi City Corporation from the Tamirabarani with 8 overhead tanks . 6. The Krishna river, groundwater and overhead tanks are the source of drinking water for the city residents. 7. The water from the sources is stored in ten overhead tanks located in various parts of the town. 8. It has educational institutions, co-operative societies, post office, cold storages, bank, water overhead tank and other facilities too. 9. With no electricity to boost water into the overhead tank , the reserve supply also was finished by the morning. 10. An overhead tank , connected to 4 floors of a building, each floor consisting 4 flats, has seperate water pipe line.
